MOTHER & CHILD CARE CENTRE
Like other areas in interior Punjab, Khanewal lacks adequate quality healthcare facilities, particularly for women. As a result, women who are unable to afford treatment at distant healthcare facilities, tend to suffer from ailments which can otherwise be treated successfully.
Since its operation in Khanewal, OGDCL always supported and continue to support initiative to improve healthcare facilities for local communities. To this end, OGDCL established a Mother and Childcare Centre (MCH) at Kabirwala, District Khanewal during the year 2016-17.
The company also constructed social welfare dispensary during the year 2003-2004 and conducted free eye camps in and around Nandpur Gas field District Khanewal during 2009 and 2014.
BLOOD BANK AT CIVIL HOSPITAL, NUSHKI
Nushki is one of the backward district of Balochistan which lack basic amenities of life. OGDCL along with Government has taken special efforts to bring at par this district with other district of Pakistan. To uplift the healthcare facilities, OGDCL allocated special funds Rs.10.32 million and established blood bank at civil Hospital, Nushki.
OGDCL SOCIAL WELFARE DISPENSARIES
During the years 2015-16 and 2016-17 OGDCL established 04 social welfare dispensaries at District Jehlum , Sanghar, Tando Allah yar and
Karak to ease the health problems of locals residing in and around OGDCL’s operational areas.
The Company also constructed Social Welfare Dispensary at Chak Naurang in 2014 and provided free medicines, hired Doctor and Paramedical staff to provide primary healthcare to marginalized communities living around operational areas.
For the Paramedic service, the Company purchased 02 ambulances in 2017 and handed over to Civil Hospital Shakar Dara , Kohat and Tehsil Head Quarter Hospital Jand, Attock. The Company also provided 02 fully equipped ambulances to Taluka Hospital Daharki, Ghotki and Taluka Hospital Tando Adam, Sanghar for local community.
FREE EYE CAMPS
Free Eye Camps were held in and around OGDCL field areas located in Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Approx 17,883 patients were attended the free eye camp. In which Approx 17,883 patients got free treatment, operations and glasses.
Medical camp for Hepatitis “B” vaccination was also held at District Rajanpur for local community. More than One thousand patients were treated through blood screening and vaccination.
MEDICINES TO SOS VILLAGE
The primary objective of the SOS children’s villages in Pakistan is to provide children, deprived of their natural parents, a situation which is as close as possible to normal home. All expenses including maintenance, costs of the children and the construction of new projects are met through the support of private individuals, philanthropists and corporate sector such as OGDCL.
OGDCL being a source of hope in the form of its CSR initiatives received request for provision of medicines to SOS children’s village.In this regard, the CSR council in its meeting approved provision of medicines to children of SOS Village Islamabad that will be used in treatment of 150 residents of the village as first aid.
To share the joys of EID with children of SOS Village, CSR team spent some time with the children and gave them Eidi of Rs. 1000/- each. Eidi was given to all 115 children residing in SOS Village Islamabad.

Free Medicine was provided to the Mother & Child Care Center, District Ghotki. District Administration, Notables and local community appreciated the contribution and efforts of OGDCL.
TB CLINIC AT TANDO ALAM OIL COMPLEX
A Tuberculosis Clinic was established in the vicinity of Tando Alam Oil Complex in 1994. The clinic has the highest rate of cure in the region. Treatment is provided under the supervision of a chest specialist deputed by the Government of Sindh. In which Approx 200 patients gets free treatment every month and thousands of people have been facilitated. The Company spend huge amount on free medicines and annual Rs. 2.00 million is being provided for the treatment of T.B patients
